The war had ended and our men had come home. The nation was ecstatic and ready to celebrate. Thus the 1920's were known as The Roaring Twenties. For people roared with laughter while drinking illegal alcohol, they roared down the streets in model-T automobiles, and women roared with spunk and rebellion while dancing the night away to The Charleston.

The Roaring Twenties and the Flappers

The 1920's was known for its development in the American society's culture. Whether that be in music, art, fashion, or the youth's behavior. One of the greatest and most memorable of all these developments was the birth of the new woman. She smoke, she drank, and she voted. She cut her hair and danced flirtatiously at clubs. She was spontaneous and took risks. She was a Flapper.

"Don't hesitate to live every moment out of your life, because you only live once, chances are rare, and nothing is certain."
